Upright and inverted in one instrument, driven from a touchscreen
The Revolve's defining trick is that it rotates. The same instrument works as an inverted scope for culture vessels and flips to upright for slides, which means one footprint on the bench instead of two and one set of objectives instead of two. For a lab short on space or budget, that is the entire argument.
Control runs through an integrated iPad Pro touchscreen rather than a desktop workstation, so capture, annotation and review happen at the instrument. This unit is configured with three Olympus UPlanFL N objectives, an Olympus IX-ULWCD condenser and DAPI, GFP and RFP filter cubes, giving working three-channel fluorescence out of the box.
