For a lab that already holds Zeiss objectives, or one buying optics separately at better prices than a bundled system commands, a bare Axioskop frame with binocular head and mechanical stage is the economical route to a second research-grade bench. The mechanical build is the part that is hard to replace; glass is easy to source.

Condition
Tested for basic function. The unit shows light superficial scratches and minor cosmetic imperfections on the external surfaces, and the lens cover has superficial scuffing. This instrument is missing its fluorescence cube, slider hardware and objective lenses, and none are supplied. Photographs show the exact unit you receive.
