Oil immersion and phase contrast in the same objective
At 100x under oil the numerical aperture reaches 1.25 and resolution hits the practical limit of light microscopy. Adding a Ph2 phase ring to that is less common than it sounds, and it is the combination needed to examine bacteria, yeast and unstained cellular detail at the highest magnification the technique allows.
Corrected for a 0.17 mm cover glass and infinity corrected, marked 1007-159.
