E. Leitz Wetzlar Zeiger-Doppelokular ANAT160 Microscope Measurement Eyepiece
A pointer in the field of view, for the moment two people must agree
A pointer eyepiece puts a physical indicator into the image so an instructor can single out one cell, one inclusion, one feature, and the person at the other head sees precisely what is meant. Before digital overlays this was how teaching and consultation microscopy worked, and on optical-only stands it still is.
This is a Leitz Zeiger-Doppelokular, marked ANAT160, supplied with its pointer and a fitted carrying case.
Where it earns its place
- Teaching and consultation on optical stands with no digital overlay
- Indicating specific features during slide review and sign-out
- Restoring a period Leitz configuration
- Collectors of Ernst Leitz Wetzlar optical instruments
