Polarisation is not one number. A full description needs the Stokes parameters, and getting them means rotating a waveplate in front of an analyser while recording intensity. The PAX sensor head is the assembly that does that rotation and detection; the chassis behind it only does arithmetic.
This head covers 400 to 700 nm, the visible range. It is supplied on its own, with no accessories or configuration items, and needs a compatible Thorlabs PAX system to operate.
