YAG Laser Welder Beam Focus Head U4180B w/ 1.5X Optic Lens
Focus optics are consumable on a welding laser
Spatter and process fume reach the focusing optics on any welding laser eventually, and once the front element is pitted, weld quality goes with it. Replacement heads through the machine builder cost accordingly, which is why shops that run these keep a spare.
The inner lens on this head is pristine. The 1.5X outer element shows very minor imperfections from prior use, which is normal for a working head and is reflected in the price.
Where it earns its place
- Spare focus head for a YAG welding cell that cannot stop for a lead time
- Replacing optics degraded by spatter or process fume
- Rebuilding or repurposing a laser welding station
- Integrators and refurbishers stocking common beam delivery parts
